River Trail Rides
For a scenic and one-of-a-kind trail riding experience, ask about our 6 mile river rides. Just 1.5 miles from Silver's Trails, at the LCRA Grelle Park, you can experience a true hill country ride on their equine trails through the woods. These trails are ideal for riders who enjoy a challenge with a scenic route and escape into nature. Explore the travis hill country with your friends and family or take a romantic ride for two!
In this adventure, you'll experience steep uphill and downhill slopes, breezy paths, a riverside view, and even some wildlife. There are many straightaways and open spaces for running. Or take it at a comfortable pace and find the real meaning of "western leisure riding."
For a longer trail ride experience, you can take additional trails off the "beaten path". These narrow foot trails are excellent for riders interested in a traditional trail ride and they offer a full immersion into the cedar woods of the Texas Hill Country.
County Road Trail Rides
For visitors interested in a shorter trail, we offer a 3 mile round trip down the local county roads. Although this ride does not utilize the equine trails, it provides the opportuinity for an enjoyable ride through Spicewood. The roadside terrain is very smooth and offers easy riding. It includes scenic pastures, cypress trees, natural flowing springs and occasional livestock such as goats, cattle, longhorns, donkeys, and even peacocks!
Shortcut Ride to the River
If you're not looking to spend hours in the saddle, but still want the scenic water views, ask about our new shortcut ride to the river. This abbreviated ride takes the same route down the county roads to the LCRA Grelle Recreational Area, but then ventures into the main park entrance to see the Colorado River Tributary. Although this ride is primarily roadside, it provides some lovely photo opportunities at the water as well as some extra riding time!
